Our story

How it all began

Auzou was founded by Philippe Auzou in 1973 and began as a reference book publisher, creating dictionaries and encyclopedias. A family business, AUZOU valued quality and independence and sought to create books that satisfied curious minds. As no. 4 children’s publisher in France, the company continues to be led by these values and to satisfy more curious minds than ever.

Looking to the next generation

In 2006, Philippe Auzou passed the baton to his son Gauthier. When Gauthier took the helm of the family business in 2006, it was clear to him that the next chapter for Auzou would focus on making books that would bring the magic of reading to more children.
